Otro grande del rock ha partido.

El pasado Viernes conocíamos la terrible noticia del fallecimiento de Robert “Strängen” Dahlqvis, guitarrista de los enormes Hellacopters, cantante de Thunder Express, Dundertåget y Strängen, Tenía 40 años.

Este es el comunicado que ha compartió  la banda en su página de Facebook:

“It’s hard to find the words right now but it is with great sadness that we must announce that Robert “String” Dahlqvist is dead. In 10 years, we traveled around the world several laps together. Shared recreational vehicles and recording. Played at clubs and festivals. It is incredibly difficult to describe with words what the string has meant to us and how we would try it so we can’t explain how much he is missing us. Our thoughts go out to all the great memories we had together and especially to his family.

“Es difícil encontrar las palabras ahora mismo, pero es con gran tristeza que debemos anunciar que Robert ‘Strängen’ Dahlqvist ha muerto”. “Durante diez años, giramos alrededor del mundo varias veces. Compartimos buses de gira y grabamos álbumes. Tocamos en clubes y festivales”.“Es increíblemente difícil describir con palabras lo que Strängen significaba para nosotros y no importa cuánto lo intentemos, nunca podríamos explicar cuánto lo echaremos de menos”.

Robert Dahlqvist ingresó a The Hellacopters en 1998 después de que el guitarrista original, Dregen dejarán la banda por su proyecto Backyard Babies. Dahlqvist grabó cuatro discos con The Hellacopters hasta la separación de la banda en 2008. Paralelamente comenzó bandas como Thunder Express y recientemente Dundertåget y Strängenr. Colaboro con The Solution junto a a Nicke Andersson y Scott Morgan.
